Good video. I have heard for many years that Australia has suffered great increases in crime since the time that some guns were confiscated and the remainder were required to be locked away, separate from the ammo.
Contrast that with the US, where gun owners' rights, including concealed carry, have been broadened for the past 20 years, and crime rates have steadily and consistently decreased during that time. Now the US violent crime rates and murder rates are at the lowest levels seen in nearly 50 years.
The highly publicized shootings such as the one in the Colorado movie theater gain a lot of media attention, and are indeed horrible tragedies, but they are abberations. When the overall crime and murder rates are examined, it becomes clear that our nation is a much safer place to live than it was in past decades.
