Any tips on changing A/C Compressor in a F-350??

Just got a new A/C Compressor for the 1996 F-350, diesel.

Any tips on changing installing it?

Truck sat for 11 months(tranny issue). Started once a month but did not run the A/C. When I ran the A/C a few days ago, the compressor smoked.

Before that, no issues with the A/C.
