Didn't all of the radiators have a short overflow tube? NOT to the bottom?

And, would we need a special rad cap that doesn't vent at all, so fluid gets sucked back in as things cool?

I've got a rusted out tank, probably for a pattern and neck. I wonder what would have some sections I could use? A stamped gas tank? Or maybe I'll fab a stainless one? Maybe a poly one out of anydamn junk car?
