I just found that I have a Dodge truck service manual newer than 1954. In chapter 7 - the Cooling section - it reads, "4) Tool C-3499 with adapter can be used to test the pressure vent radiator filler cap. No pressure cap is used on WM-300 Models." The text "No pressure cap is used on the WM-300 Models." is in dark bold print. That may indicate they were trying to draw the readers attention and to get a point across, possibly indicating the existence of some confusion generated from earlier service manuals that did not contain this bold line of text.
Until proof is found, I have to stand by my observations that WDX-WM300 model civilian Power Wagons were produced only with factory non-pressurized cooling systems unless special ordered.
