Possibly, if it's the fitting itself that is plugged. My experience is that it's usually the joint that is 'frozen', not the fitting.....and if it is the fitting, as stated, $49 buys a lot of grease fittings.
If it's a joint that a little heat from a torch won't hurt, it does wonders.
