Hi the M1 is a Garand. The Enfield is a sweet rifle. I would like to buy one. My son wants to use it to shoot a dear in season. My other son wants a German Mauser. Still looking for both.They are truly great guns of are past. Just like are trucks.Enjoyed you post. Take care Bill
