well you have a few choices.
1#you can remove head and remove particles.
2#you can take a bore scope and a thin piece of welding rod and some permatex on the end and pull fragments out.
3#you can load cylinder with carb cleaner and crank it over and see if compression blows it out.
if you choose 3 don't crank it over dry.
and don't use oil or any fluid that is heavy.
carb cleaner or brake clean will help prevent scratching of cylinder or piston or head.
if you can see some fragments using a bright flash light use a welding rod with a drop of permatex on end and try to retrive.
i'm sure some others have excellent ideas that will post.
you might want to turn motor over by hand and put piston at complete bottom of stroke so you can see the whole top of piston surface.
