Getting ready this week to try to start a PW that has not run in 20 years. I've read the page on how to bring a sleeping beauty back to life.
What do I need to do to the fuel tank or lines? At this time, I don't know if there was any gas left in the tank. If so, obviously drain & discard it. What about cleaning/flushing it?
Do I need to rebuild the carb? There has been a rag stuffed into the carb for years. I have the air cleaner but the previous owner did not keep it on the carb for some reason.
What about the cooling system?
Should I replace the plugs/wires, coil, or other parts?
Anything I need to do to the generator? This is a 6 volt system. Obviously, I'll have a new battery.
Anything I'm forgetting?
Any info/ideas/advice/comments/suggestions would be greatly appreciated! Just want to give myself the best chance of getting this thing running again.
