I just went through this. I have always put them on dry, and never had a problem. I used the rubber ones on my M37 and they leaked. I just had them off to adjust the valves and put aviation form-a-gasket on them. No more leaks. I dont plan on going in there on a daily basis so I am not worried if they are stickumed on!.
