Angle drilling and fracking have made it possible. It is expensive oil, about $60 per barrel. If the price goes down below $80 they will stop drilling. One of the Eagle Scouts from my former Troop is working in Williston as an electrician. Made about 80K last year, not bad for a kid just out of tech school.
