This truck looks alot like mine ('50). I found some bed wood called antegrey from a local milling company. They couldn't sell it, so I bought all they had, at a dollar a foot, and used it for the bed. Then I already had some northern red oak that I logged up in Maine and had milled. I used it for the rails, with the bark on one edge. I'm a construction surveyor, and had access to dunnage from tilt-wall deliveries which I used for the stakes, (Southern white oak. Colors blended real nice. Good luck with your finish... four coats of spar varnish works great.
