I thought I made the groove to match the stud on my own '53 FFPW?
Is there room to use TWO nuts behind it? Lock them together just far enough back to allow the safe grinding? Then finish it up with a file?
Maybe make a 'safe edge file' by grinding the teeth off one edge, so it only files the groove wider, won't file it in half?
Worst scenario, grind off the weld and I'll make you a new one, but it would need to be welded on.
