I got two of the spare tire locks from VPW. One for the truck spare, and one for the trailer spare. Chris made the spare tire rack for the trailer.

The lock won't go on the bolt. Theres not enough space between the threads and the end of the bolt that was turned. In other words I need to remove about 1/4 inch or just a little more of the threads to allow the lock to slide on enough to allow the pin to sit in the recess.

With the bolt welded on the carrier, how can I remove some threads to allow the lock to fit???
