Yea C6x8.2 was what was readily available, and yep, overkill, but I'm not building for MPG's, just didn't do the weight calculation soon enough. The cross members are 18-20" apart, and 1.5" x 1/8" angle.

So you would recommend spot supports even over filling/supporting with a rough cut 2x8?

Guss I should have just bough the C12x10.6, would have only been 180 pounds rather than 263.
