Until you can install a heat shield, drain the gas and replace with fresh gas. Winter gas vaporizes at a lower temperature, causing big air bubble to form in line, preventing flow. Summer gas won't vaporize as quickly. Put wooden clothespins on the line. They act as a heat sink. Make sure heater hose is nowhere near line. Good luck.
