Lots of 4BTs have been put in old Dodges. I think Paul has done half of them himself!
That said, it's probably about the most expensive repower you can do.
That engine would need an air-to-air aftercooler, or you'd need to convert it to a water aftercooler. The first is tough to fit, the second is expensive to convert.
Then you still have to figure out and purchase a transmission and transfer case.
A V8 can be done quite a bit cheaper and will give you at least the same torque and more horsepower.
That said, I've never met anyone who didn't love the 4BT in these vehicles, and it does just seem like the right fit for them, and unstoppable motor in an unstoppable vehicle.
That would be a nice motor though. Has the later P pump and an air-compressor already mounted, but that's probably why they want almost $7k.
It has an SAE bell housing and a clutch installed. Wonder what transmission they had it set up for?
