Oh, I'm not saying ductile is better...not at all. Just that strength certainly isn't an issue since I've never seen one broken. I mean I could also have them CNC'd out of aluminum real easy but that's not original either.
There's lots & lots of improvements we can make on these trucks if that's our objective.
I'm just fussy. I was trying to have them reproduced exact even down to the marks left from the original pattern.
I just can't stand seeing a part that someone has gone to great lengths to reproduce & it's really close to original but just not quite & we can all tell...you know?
I mean if I had enough people that wanted them to pay for the pattern & other parts laser cut, I'd offer them in both versions...they'd be expensive either way but they'd be $25 less each in bronze.
