The bumping sound you hear and feel is the cab floor transmission cover hitting the top of the tranny from bad rubber cab insulators. If you look at the floor cover from inside the cab, you will probably it rests on, or is very near to the tranny top. Those insulators will need replacing. None available so you will have to make some.

The scream you hear is the sound a spur gear transmission makes, it's normal, but is amplified when the cab tranny cover rest on the tranny. Gotta get your cab up!
If after your cab is raised, if you hear what is a third gear chatter from the tranny, you then have a bad rear ring & pinnion. Like most of us, you'll have to chase problems until there fixed.
In addition to checking all drive train fluid levels, there is a long capped screw that mounts at the end of the speedometer. Unscrew it and squirt a little WD-40 into the speedometer to refreash what is probably dried grease. Use some 10W or 3-1 oil to soak the felt before putting it back on. This is often over looked and the result is a siezed speedo and snapped cable.
