...rolling gives more strength. As for the shear, what about tensile or fatigue when they're cut? Also, rolling is much faster than cutting. They use either a tri-roll or flat roll based on diameter and in using a flat roll, they can thread those fasteners off quicker than you can count. Then to the lab for all testing up to Aerospace standards and spec's. Quite a bit better than grade 8's?
