I've had two sets of Michelins develop small sidewall cracks. The most recent set is about two years old and has 40,000 miles.
When I took the first set back to Costco, the tire guy said sidewall cracking was not covered under warranty.
If you search online, you will find many reports of sidewall cracking in Michelins.
I've had several sets of Bridgestones and they never developed sidewall cracking. The Denmans on my FFPW are probably 15 years old and look like they are new.
