Hi folks,
I'd like to find a modern, neoprene seal for the output (sector) shaft on my steering box. Truck is a '49 B-1-PW.
Many years ago when I asked this question, there was no such seal to be found. Only available was the original-type cork seal. I'm hoping things have changed since then.
I looked through the PIF and through Greg Coffin's Power Train Survival Manual, but came up with nothing. I did a search in Phil's Archives and only found mention of an SKF p/n 12723, but the posts did not say whether the truck was an old-style 1-Ton (some would call it a FFPW) Power Wagon, or some other model.
Can anyone give me some info on this?
Thanks,
Matt
