i have a 251 chrysler industrial in a bombardier, i had the carb rebuilt. i do have a new set of points and condencer with rotor to be put in. am i headed in the right direction. i though the rebuild on the carb would do it. it is when i hit the gas quick. it pops sometimes it looks like a hint of black smoke out the exhaust.of course the little needle for timing is gone. but it starts very well and starts well when it is hot. the coil is upside down- does it matter, also the coil is not getting hot. thanks
