I need Carb Help...

So I got a newly rebuilt carb in today from VPW after they told me that my other one was really pretty shot. From the looks of it and experience with it until now, I'd say it's a great carb. However, I'm honestly pitiful when it comes to carb work, so how come whenever I hit about 2300-2400 RPM does my engine start to really putter and choke?
