Personally I would stay away from Chevy 350 motors. The only one I ever had (a '79 Z28) put two or three rods through the oil pan on me at 10:30 on a Sunday night. Then there was the one that my brother had. He was getting about three to four months out of a valve job.
Sure, I've had problems with Mopars, but I've never had one blow up on me.
