this may be common knowledge to most but it wasnt to me.
when i bought my 880 2 months ago it came with a $900 reciept for a rebuilt 727 auto tranny. the truck only had 19000 miles
i thought someone must have towed somthing in "D" up hill for the last 19000miles i didnt really care since it had been rebuilt.
i just talked to a mechnic today who has a 77m880 he said his and most 880s didnt come with the kick down linkage that goes from the carb to the trans therefore not kickin down from 3 to 2 and letting the discs slip and burning them out even with less than 20k
may be helpfull to some.
