Why are you only interested in the mid forties model? I think the flat fender PW was made till 1968. The newer ones have some design improvements (hanging pedals, etc) that might make them easier to drive. Keep an eye on this sites classified section as well as ebay, hemmings, and the PW advertiser. You will be surprised at what pops up.
