I think some people are scared of amp gauges because they dont know how to read them. Or maybe they owned a 1983 Jeep and the dash lit on fire. ;/) usually the only still working gauges in these 50 plus year old trucks is the AMP GAUGE! switching to a volt meter is NOT an upgrade but a downgrade, IMHO.
