I have never seen the drums on a Power Wagon glowing red either, but I guess heat could still transfer back into the wheel cylinders and affect the vicosity of whatever fluid is there.
Thanks Norm. You, Chris, and Tom fully understood my question - why was a special fluid for brake systems developed years ago, instead of using a hydraulic fluid or other oil. I was not suggesting that anyone should consider substututing anything else.
