So the 1975-1979 models are the "black sheep" of the Dodge Truck family, eh? Is this the consensus opinion?

I'm looking for a 70s 4WD work truck to use for hauling stuff. I know this is a Dodge forum, but would I be better off with a Ford from the same time period?
