I have been smoking since the late 50's. Today I figured its time to quit !
Around Memorial Day, some pilgrim gave me some strain of flu virus that my flue shot did not protect against. For the past 16 days, I have been laid to waste. Chills, hot flashes, fever, everything including my skin hurt. During that time, I only smoked a couple cigs a day, they just did not taste good. This gave me a great cut back on my typical pack a day. So today, I shredded my last carton of Cigs. I no longer want them or need them. Once a month, I would go to the Canadian Border and buy Tax Free Cigs at the Mohawk Nation Territory, 189 miles round trip. The Mohawk Native Americans have lost a customer.
Why am I telling this ? A commitment of this scale, in my opinion, requires others, friends to know. By them knowing, and my promise to quit, I would be a liar if I did not truly quit. I dont lie. So I am telling you, my PW Family that I quit smoking. If you come to visit and smoke, your welcome to go up in the woods and smoke. I cant believe the shop is now a No Smoking Zone LOL.
Thanks for reading, sorry of the OT
Paul
