you posted that I used the wrong term for
Budd Wheels Well from the OSHA paper the
correct term is "Multi-Piece"
now street slang might be "split rims"
20 plus years in the tire business never
heard anyone call them "split ring"
the removable ring (flange) on budd wheels is called a Flange & Bead seat (tire and rim association year books)
