Here in north Missouri the highway departments have resorted to using a slury of calicum cloride which I understand is ten times as bad as salt.When it's added to concrete(so they can make pours in winter) it eventually eats up the rebar.Salt is only effective at certain temptures so this is their alternative.BAD STUFF!!
