spoke with a gentleman that makes adapters $55 to bolt a t-5 transmission from a gm product to our bellhousings. t-5 is a box/tailshaft arrangement. they have difft overdrives and lenghts. i belive the 4wd version is about the same size as the orig box or a little longer. a smaller intermediate shaft could be made. the s-10 blazers used these trans and their engines make more hp than ours. just a thought. the man who made the adapters has used them extensively in 2wd dodges--
