I dont Know about the accelerator pump your talking about. All the carbs I have worked on always had a mechanical pump. I have never seen a vacume type??? The only vacume is for advance in the distributor for timming The pump must connect to the gas pedal linkage to squirt extra fuel into the engine on acceleration. Bill
