Same problem with most "upgrades". In my experience, they require more steps to make things work, fail more often, use more memory (look at vista vs xp) need more ram in most cases. I put xp on my new puter in 09, latest firefox update is ver 2.something, all works good. My wife's new puter has win7 and later fox, difficult to access some sites, freezes, all sorts of failures. Doesn't make me feel good about upgrading. Even have problems with this site on her puter.
