There is a '49 FFPW currently listed on eBay for $60,000. It has one bidder, but the reserve is not met. It looks to be a great truck. I'm not going to argue about whether any FFPW can be worth more than $60,000.
A week ago, a "restored" '51 FFPW was offered here for $6,000. I doubt that there is a $54,000+ difference between the two trucks, but that is another argument for another day.
My question is, who, if anybody bought the $6,000 truck and was it a real offer? If so, what's the, "rest of the story"? Why was it being sold and who sold it? Was it being sold by the angry ex-wife to get even with the ex-husband. Or, had the owner died in the truck and it was impossible to get the odor out? Or, was it some other unlikely situation that resulted in the sale of the truck at such an apparently low price?
