Norm, Charles, I guess I better junk my 5-window. I last filled it to the top a year ago, and it seems to run better than ever.
Charles, I don't know what kind of sludge somebody put into that flat head, but I doubt it was exactly 60 day old gas. Gummed up intake valves are more likely caused by something getting sucked upwards from the crankcase. People do pour all kinds of additives into their oils. STP, Bardahls, ATF, Rislone, diesel, Marvel, kerosene, or left over premix from the off road toys.
So far as two strokes with premix, that is a different animal. Hint: Enamel paint is made from vegetable oil.
