Brake Booster Woes

I lost the brakes on Wendel, my 1954 PW with brake booster. Kieth came over and we bled the brakes, including the booster, but still not much pedal and could push almost to the floor if held. Figured it must be the booster so we started it up and sure enough every time we pushed the brake pedal a great "woosh" sound came from the booster and the engine lugged down. I guess it's time for a rebuild. The vacuum pipe at the intake manifold was not showing brake fluid so I guess that is good news.
