In the seventies, maybe before and maybe after, Dodge trucks came with what was called "Full-time Four Wheel Drive" ...I wound up with the setup on a non-operative parts truck.
It has one ton axles but covered smooth hubs and only one lever on the floorboard to engage.
How does this work--do the front wheels constantly spin the drive shaft even when not using 4wd ? ...if so, have they ever offered manual lock out hubs? Any explanations would be welcome.
