Hi Dave,
The boots could be the problem, but have probably hiked 500 miles in them, with never so much as a hot spot. Could be they are worn out, but they seem just fine, or maybe I am worn out, but I feel fine! Who knows?
The Outfitter we stopped at on the trail sold boots. The trees out in front were festooned with untold numbers of boots tossed up into the branches!
