Ken,
I used DPLF50 on my truck and liked it alot. My order was aa follows.
1 Metal bumping/straightening with light sandblast afterward.
2 Filler if needed. Sand with 80 grit dry
3 Slick sand as needed. Sand with 150 grit dry
4 DPLF50, no sand.
5 K36 sandable primer. 500 wet
6 DPLF50 as sealer. No sand
7 Topcoats of choice.
This is the way my supplier recommended and I can't argue with the results I got. Paul can verify ;) Sanding an epoxy primer is a LOT more work than you want to do. Epoxy is like glue and will load the paper up fast.
Using a sandable on top is nice because you can tell when you sand to the epoxy. Letting you know you have a low or other problem. I used the 3M dry guidecoat after slicksand which takes the guesswork out of it. Kevin
