Ken, I dont have a P Sheet for the primer your using. PPG lists MP-170 Epoxy primer as 1 coat. PPG lists JP-375 as 1 or 2 coats.
I have never blocked the Epoxy primer. When cured its very hard. I shoot it quite well.
The Hi Build primer is where I do my blocking and adding additional coats. Between coats, I dust with SEM Guide Coat in Rattle Cans and block again. The guide coat lets me see any imperfections. Its only a light dusting. When all is well, then Base/Clear
