I was brought up believing to never oil springs as it will weaken them and sag.
Just some old school I was taught.
Right or wrong I don't know?
But I do know every time a truck got an oil leak(especially fronts) and the springs got soaked and stayed that way,it wasn't long before that spring pack started sagging and eventually would break a leaf.
Just my personal experience.
