Have a 318 poly that I built in 1974 before unleaded gas and didn't drive it until 1996. Everything was good for a while and then every time my son was home from Ft.Hood we had to adjust the valves. Finally got another set of heads and had hard seats installed and put them on one weekend he was home and that ended our problems.
