I'm not worried about asbestos. I'm aware of the problem and if I think I might be working with asbestos, I take reasonable precautions.
Asbestosis and related diseases take repeated exposure to inhaled asbestos.
Like smoking, you are probably not going to have problems with limited exposure. But, like smoking, every exposure causes some damage, no matter how small. Each asbestos particle that becomes embedded in the lungs causes some hardening of the surrounding tissue.
I just bring this issue up because it is interesting and everyone should be aware of it.
