The Scouts did have caster issues. Then tended to wander all over the road. I know I had a 1977 Scout Traveler. Nice truck putting good radial tires helped verse bias ply tires. However, in 1980 International increased the caster on the Scout axles. I believe it was 6 degrees for that year which was the last year for the Scout. That is why I went for an axle set from 1980.
