My 3 year old kid is a Red Dobie who was turfed because he caught heartworm and it was cheaper to turf him than treat him.
He got lucky and was rescued from the pound by a group who got him healthy and then found him a home.
Them adoption ladies is some TOUHG girls, I think adopting a human kid would have been easier.
The wife's cat wandered in as a kittin the size of my fist, covered with fleas. She's been with us 8 years, champion mouser and member of the family. She still panics if her food dish gets moved and she can't see it.
I'd have no trouble ass shootin some bastard dumping a dog or a cat. NY law don't hurt them bad enough.
