Primers and paint

I should start sandblasting and priming/painting pretty soon.Ive about decided to go with a 2 part epoxy primer unless someone has a reason not to. On top of the primer I am thinking of going with urethane based paint. Now these paints come in single application(which is glossy) or two part which needs a clear coat. I want to clear coat anyways for a little more uv protection( living in the high SW desert) I can paint over the single stage from what the shop tells me, what do you guys think?

For best protection, mix a bit of paint into the clear coat. - Chriscase 10:04:30 12/10/2010
