I have a tip for you Terry, I did the same thing two years ago, got worryed about the thinness of the oil, added a pint of lucas oil conditioner to the tranny, both diffs and the transfer case, BAD,BAD, mistake, I ruined the entire exercise to lower friction and noise!!! the trans now makes more noise, and the benifits of the synthecics was lost. but on the up side, when the temp is below 40 or so I don't have to use the brakes for ten miles or so. the stuff gets so stiff that the truck just barely pulls its'self. just a hint, Dave.
