Centered rear axle

I just finshed installing my new (1945) centered rear axle in my 56 PW. I found the first drive to be a little smoother. I had already replaced the oil in the transfer case with synthetic 75-90W oil and found it to be a little cooler in temps as well. After a few more miles of breakin on the new bearings and gears I'll change the oil and run the synthetic gear lube as see how hot it gets. The axle swap was a breeze and just bolted in. Looking forward to the next summer when I can try it out further and see if the temps come down and the drivetrain is quieter. Terry
